We’re excited to share that we have just completed a major expansion project here at TimberTight, which has more than doubled our manufacturing space and significantly improved our on-site facilities. This expansion represents a 40% increase in production square footage, taking us from 10,700 sq ft to 17,700 sq ft.
This additional space will allow us to streamline our operations by efficiently redistributing our business across the exciting new units- resulting in an expansion in our product offerings, reduced lead times and provision of even better service and support for our amazing customers. We’re always looking for new ways to take TimberTight to the next level, and this recent project will give us the opportunity to do just that!
New Production Facilities
The first major advantage of this expansion is that it has significantly improved our production facilities. We now have dedicated facilities in place for processing floor cassettes, so we can handle all cutting and assembly entirely in-house. We’ve also optimised our workflow by assigning specific areas for tasks such as wall and floor manufacturing and cutting. This clear separation enhances efficiency and gives us greater visibility and control over each project from start to finish.
With these new facilities comes a need for new employees, and we’ve already welcomed four new members to the team, with plans to expand further and continue strengthening our fantastic team.
New Office and Meeting Room
Beyond the production areas, the expansion has also seen the creation of a brand-new office space and meeting room. The office itself was constructed using our own timber frames, serving as a functional workspace and a showcase of our products. The space is bright and airy and includes flexible meeting rooms that can host client meetings or serve as welfare facilities.
Our design team played a crucial role in this project, giving them a unique opportunity to witness the full construction process firsthand. As much of the team typically works on-site with individual components, it was great for everyone to be able to see the bigger picture and appreciate how our timber frames and panels come together in all their glory.
Improved Site Infrastructure
In addition to our expansion, significant upgrades have been made to the site’s infrastructure, thanks to the landlord’s investments. Many buildings now feature new insulation and roofing, along with updated cladded frontages, enhancing both the site’s appearance and energy efficiency. A newly tarmacked access road further elevates the look and feel of the site, creating a more professional and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors.
These recent upgrades represent a significant investment in TimberTight’s future. By increasing production capacity and efficiency, we’re not only improving our operations but also creating a better working environment for our team. This project reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and positions us for further growth and success as we continue to set the standard as an industry leader in the timber frame industry.
