Timber Frame Designer

Position Overview:
As an Experienced Timber Frame Designer, you will create innovative and sustainable timber frame structures while collaborating with a talented team of professionals. Your expertise in truss and joist design will be essential in bringing our clients’ visions to life and ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop timber frame structures, including trusses and joists, ensuring they meet specific project requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to create detailed plans and specifications.
• Utilise CAD software to produce accurate design drawings and construction documents.
• Assist the design office with scheduling materials, producing construction drawing packages and liaising with the company’s production team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in timber frame design, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
• Relevant qualification at degree level such as Architecture, Building or Construction studies.
• Proficiency in truss and joist design with experience in software such as AutoCAD and Pamir.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
