Position Overview:
As our new Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and building long-term partnerships for our company. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with key clients, and expanding our market presence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for the construction industry and a proven track record in sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive new business opportunities and expand our client base.
- Identify and target potential clients in the residential, commercial, and sustainable construction sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and other key industry players.
- Present and promote our timber frame solutions to potential clients, demonstrating our expertise and commitment to quality.
- Work closely with our project management and design teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to project execution.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to stay updated on trends and generate leads.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or project management within the construction industry (experience in timber framing is a plus).
- Strong understanding of the construction and building materials market, including trends in sustainability and green building practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as needed.
